November 2025 Harvest Drive made a lasting impact.

November 2025 was the month of  teamwork and collaboration.  Students of all ages came together to help their fellow students. With over 190 schools engaging in the collection process and 12 school sites managing the distribution, Harvest Drive’s Thanksgiving program was able to provide more than 2200 families with at least a week’s worth of groceries and fixings for their Thanksgiving meal.  Students worked closely with their peers, teachers, and community volunteers.  They actively learned why helping others matters and were empowered to make a difference in their community.

This school based program is truly grateful for the extensive community support supplementing all of the collections and hard work done by students.  Teachers, administrators, social workers, sponsors, community partners, local churches and police departments, private schools, and civic organizations all joined in the process.  Community commitment allowed us to collect, sort, bag, and distribute more than 13,000 bags of groceries to food insecure children and their families in Broward County this past Thanksgiving.

Thank you to all who participated in our November 2025 Harvest Drive.  Each food item, dollar, and hour of time donated contributed to the success of this project which is expressed from a truly grateful recipient, “ The food bag has helped me tremendously, now we are able to have a thanksgiving without worrying of food. Thank you so much for helping!”

The Harvest Drive remains a grassroots organization committed to alleviating the devastating effects of hunger and making our community a kinder place to live.
