Thank you for visiting Harvest Drive Florida

The Harvest Drive is a volunteer driven, year-long, multi-faceted program. We start each school year by providing well stuffed backpacks to nearly 300 students who cannot otherwise afford these school supplies. Throughout the school year we pack and distribute 40lb boxes of non-perishable staple foods to more than 1000 families in crisis. Each November, working hand in hand with the Broward County Schools, we assist more than 2300 families with a week’s worth of groceries as well as the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving meal. More than 500 of these families also have free access to gently used clothing, shoes, toys, books and household items. Distribution occurs at 14 Broward County middle and high schools.

We cannot do any of this without our community partners, business partners and the more than 180 public and private schools who participate in the program each year. The funds raised, the food collected and the gently used household items made available to our recipient families all go directly back into our local community.

HARVEST DRIVE’S 26th YEAR OF CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN IN BROWARD SCHOOLS

“Children Helping Children” remains the theme of the Harvest Drive after 25 years. The children throughout Broward County Schools continue to be the focal point of our activities and most students will be assisting in our efforts. Harvest Drive has 14 distribution sites and all Broward County public schools are invited to participate. Each school has their own method of raising awareness and collecting the non-perishable food from the current need’s list.

The Harvest Drive sends a huge thank you to the families of Ramat Shalom I-Serve for sharing their facilities and time to pack 144, forty pound non perishable food boxes for Broward County School children and their families.  Each of these boxes is being distributed by a Broward County Schools social worker to a family who really needs this food. The goodwill shared by Ramat Shalom I-Serve will make a meaningful impact on all of our recipient families.
